By the inspiration of Korean ink-and-wash painting, I made this frame which depicts Maehwa tree and the moon at night.

Main concept of this work is this. As the viewer is getting closer to the work, the moon and flowers brighter. When the viewer moves far from it, it’s getting dimmed out. For this prototype, there is a cardboard behind the image, but it’s going to be replaced with tracing paper to see the light under it.

For this work, I used Ultrasonic Distance Sensor. HC-SR04

hc-sr04_ultrasonic_sensor_distance_measuring_module_1_ hc-sr04-ultrasonic-sensor

 

It senses the distance between it and the object in front of it by using ultrasonic wave.

Distance range : 2 cm to 400 cm

Pins : VCC (Power), Trig (Trigger), Echo (Receive), GND (Ground).
